New Applicant Registration

To complete the registration for the 2025 CDECB EXAM, you will need:

Electronic copies can be a photo taken from your smartphone or a scan (pdf) of the following:

  1. DOCUMENTATION OF CURRENT PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION/LICENCE: You are required to provide a current copy of your proof of license. A copy of a current wallet card or a receipt of renewal for 2025 are examples. DO NOT send a picture or scan of your degree.
  2. A copy of your Canadian Government issued photo identification. The photo identification will be used for candidate verification. Please make sure that the picture is clear or you will be asked to upload again.
  3. Please put your signature on a piece of paper, scan or take photo and upload or upload a document with your signature on it.
  4. WORK EXPERIENCE: If you have your work experience in a document, you will be able to upload it.
  5. If you are SELF-EMPLOYED, Letters of Reference are required.

    Blank letters of reference can be found on the website on the EXAM PAGE.

    These reference letters will need to be uploaded to your online application.
  6. PAYMENT: Payment may be made by Visa or Mastercard.
  7. Examination Applicants acknowledge that this CDECB examination is an online examination and Candidates will be required to meet minimum computer and internet requirements. To review Appendix C

  9. Falsification of information supplied during the application process or any process thereafter may cause removal of your CDE® designation or any future CDE® designation.
Notice: The CDECB requires copies of each applicant’s Canadian professional registration/licence, their signature and photo identification should a question arise regarding the Applicant’s qualifications to challenge the CDECB examination, their identity at the examination and subsequent confirmation of their CDE® Designation and identity.
